Pet Insurance - 8 Questions you need to ask

If you are looking to buy insurance for your pet there are a number of questions that you ought to ask yourself in order to get the best possible cover from the right supplier.

1) Are hereditary and/or congenital conditions covered?
– Some insurance providers will cover hereditary and congenital conditions as long as the condition hadn't been discovered and your pet hadn't any symptoms prior to the commencement date of your pet insurance policy.

2) Do I have to pay the vet and the insurance provider reimburses me?
– The insurance provider will usually setup a direct payment with the vet, however, in instances where this can not be achieved then the insurance provider will send you a cheque for the associated costs.

3) How do I cancel my policy?
– In the event that you are not happy with the cover you are advised to contact the insurance provider directly. Some providers allow you to cancel within 14 days of you reviving your documents.

4) How do I know if my cover has been accepted?
– A payment confirmation age will be displayed. This page will display your policy number and the start and finish date of your cover. Your policy documents will then be sent to you by post.

5) What do I do if my animal is missing?

- You will need to contact the claims department. If a dog is missing you will need to report it to the police. This is important as the insurance provider will require evidence of this.

6) What do I do if my animal is involved in an accident?

– In the unfortunate event that your animal is involved in an accident it is advised that you contact the insurance provider’s claims department. Here details will be taken and a claims form will be issued.

7) What is the claims number?

– Each insurance provider will have their very own dedicated claims number. Please refer to their websites for more details.

8) What should I do if I don't want the insurance provider to send me any marketing material?
– You will usually be given an option during the pet insurance quote process to opt out of receiving marketing material.

Green spending set to increase in Europe

The Centre for Retail Research has today issued a report suggesting that Green spending in Europe will double by 2015. The report is also suggesting that the so-called "price premium" between Green and non-Green products will fall from 46% to 40.5% by 2012. So what will be behind the increase in expected Green spending in Europe?

There is no doubt that price competition has been one of the major factors holding back Green spending in the UK and in Europe. However, it looks as though various government initiatives, better acceptance by the general public and price competition could well play major roles in the future. We have already seen a significant increase in the amount of electric cars sold for example in the UK, and within Europe, and other areas of Green spending are also benefiting.

Many believe that the Green sector also has the potential to create hundreds of thousands if not millions of jobs around the world in the months and years ahead. However, the level of acceptance of so-called Green products varies widely across Europe as does the average household spending on these types of products. It will be interesting to see how the Green sector develops in the future with areas such as Scotland putting themselves forward as centres of excellence.

Perfect theatre breaks in London

If you are bored of doing the same thing every weekend, why not take a short theatre break in London? This vibrant city has some of the best theatres in the world. Whatever you want to watch, with a little bit of research, you can find a theatre show to match your taste.

With so many options available, you can be spoilt for choices. If you live far from London’s Westend, you can also book a hotel along with the theatre show. Booking as a package deal turns out to be a cheaper option rather than booking theatre tickets and hotels separately from different places.

Booking a hotel in advance takes away the hassle of finding an accommodation once you reach London. If you book your hotel well in advance, you can manage to have enough time to see around the other attractions in and around London.

Whatever you want to watch, be it a classic, comedy, romance or thriller, London always has something to offer!
